1:48 am - Yeah, I'm updating this thing.

Yeah, I haven't written in this thing for a long long time. Over a year actually. After this post, which is serving to get my mind out of homework for a while, I probably won't post again for a long time. A lot of things have changed since the last time I've updated this. Suddenly my life is completely different, but I like it. My friends are still my friends, my parents are still there for me, denial of not, lol. And I'm me. And I'm generally happy. I still have some things that bother me. Like, my self-confidence. Where did it go? I used to be the most confident person in the world, but now I always hate things about myself. I am still overall satisfied, but I doubt myself all the time. I think I'm talented, but I don't think people want to hear me. It's like I get the feeling that people just can't stand how I sound. My confidence in my appearance has evaporated. I used to be like, 'so I'm a fatty, who cares. I work it." lol. But now I feel average. I like my face enough, but I'm not special. I have more flaws than I have good points. So, yeah.... Maybe it's the fact that I've suddenly entered a world of the unknown. Dating. What a horrible concept. Well, the act of being in a relationship is great, but the getting there sucks.
I have feelings for someone, and I wish I could tell everyone who. As of now, like, 4 people know, and maybe even *he* knows. I'll never know. There's no way he likes me back. I wish he did, but why would he? He's got all these amazing qualities while I am a record-setter of averageness. Shit. I'm letting myself get involved emotionally which is retarded. I should pull back and go back to "oh, he's cute" instead of going after anything else. I've found myself falling deeper into something that isn't there. The problem is I really really want there to be something between us. If only it could be like high school when your friends would go up and "accidentally" let it slip that you liked someone and find out if they like you back. Even if by some stretch of the imagination he did like me back, would I notice? I'm oblivious to "signals" and the like. He'd have to flat out say it, and people don't do that. I need help, seriously. Someone needs to coach me through this...someone who I haven't dated, pseudo-dated, or anything like that. lol. I'm pathetic.
This entry makes me sound all emo, which I'm really not. I'm just dreaming for something big, but preparing for nothing to happen. I'm actually an upbeat person, and optimistic and happy-go-lucky, excetp for tonight.

R.I.P. Scamper Jarvis
Yesterday, my dog, Scamper passed away after suffering from lung cancer. He has been in my family for 13 years. Since I was five I have always had him to make me laugh, take away my tears, or just talk to, though he couldn't talk back. I will miss him, but I am glad that his pain is gone. He will always remain in my heart.
When I can find a picture, I will post it here.

Today, my girlfriend Lauren and I were driving to Jax when I saw a sign outside that read in big, yellow letters: "I like Spicy Tuna." Except that it wasn't really a sign, someone was yelling it. Actually, we weren't really driving, we were walking on the side of the road. And Lauren wasn't even there, it was just me. And actually, I was the one yelling. And I didn't yell "I like Spicy Tuna," but incoherent gibberish at some passing elderly eskimos in wheel chairs.
Well, they started it.

Okay, this is a public post because I want those that I have pushed away to know why I made this decision. I could not see what I was doing, and my so called “friends” were helping me walk right off the edge. I did things I swore I would never do. I became someone who I was not. And many people liked the way I was, but I was dying on the inside, and it showed, but those who liked what I was doing never bothered to ask me what was wrong, or give me any freedom. And almost everybody falls into that last category in one way or another. EVERYBODY falls into that actually. Well, I can’t be THAT Matt anymore. Read on.

Did you hear about the two blondes who froze to death in a drive-in movie?

There was a power outage, and twelve blondes were stuck on the escalators for over four hours.

A blonde was driving home after a game and got caught in a really bad hailstorm. Her car was covered with dents, so the next day she took it to a repair shop. The shop owner saw that she was a blonde, so he decided to have some fun. He told her just to go home and blow into the tail pipe really hard, and all the dents would pop out.
So, the blonde went home, got down on her hands and knees and started blowing into her tailpipe. Nothing happened. So she blew a little harder, and still nothing happen.
Her roommate, another blonde, came home and said, "What are you doing?
The first blonde told her how the repairman had instructed her to blow into the tail pipe in order to get all the dents to pop out. The roommate rolled her eyes and said, "Uh, like hello! You need to roll up the windows first."

A blonde went to an eye doctor to have her eyes checked for glasses.
The doctor directed her to read various letters with the left eye while covering the right eye. The blonde was so mixed up on which eye was which that the eye doctor, in disgust, took a paper lunch bag with a hole to see through, covered up the appropriate eye and asked her to read the letters. As he did so, he noticed the blonde had tears streaming down her face.
"Look," said the doctor, "there's no need to get emotional about getting glasses."
"I know," agreed the blonde, "But I kind of had my heart set on some with wire
frames."

A blonde was shopping at a Target Store and came across a silver thermos. She was quite fascinated by it, so she picked it up and brought it over to the clerk to ask what it was.
The clerk said, "Why, that's a thermos..... it keeps some things hot and some things cold." "Wow, said the blonde, "that's amazing.... I'm going to buy it!"
So she bought the thermos and took it to work the next day. Her boss saw it on her desk. "What's that,' he asked?
"Why, that's a thermos..... it keeps hot things hot and cold things cold, " she replied. Her boss inquired, "What do you have in it?"
The blond replied, "Two Popsicles, and some coffee".
